Structured Meeting

Discussion (en):

(copied from Sam Rose):

In the Wiki Now?, my suggestions could be (in a think talk act attempt :

  1. Arnaud Fontaine could perhaps help us to implement a condorcet voting system (hé arnaud !) even if we know all that our GodKing is quite lazy here grins
  2. Invite Ori Pekelman? to open a personal page and join our wikinet-community (tu as un Appel Wiki Ori !)
  3. Test the Règles De Robert process (robert's rules in french) even if I don't know anybody able to implement that for a decision process.

I already have some pieces of code (written in Python) implementing Condorcet. --Arnaud Fontaine

Sam, how about discussing/brainstorming on a page like Structured Meeting.

For the moment I still love this form of easy mix we could offer to newbies :

The real-time-wiki-board will arrive soon for all. Wiki Ting is really good for consensus. Think it's time to imagine Structured Meeting (with some Micro Formats ?) for our future Bar Camp Bank Governance? ! -- Christophe Ducamp

Règles De Robert is of course only a suggestion for structuring teleconference/video conference meetings, and only for the parts where the goal is to progress on group decision making. I am totally open to using some type of structure for Video bridge conferences besides Règles De Robert. we can create our own structure for instance. Also, I think it is important to open the meeting up and have unstructured/jam session free for all time, too. So, I like your idea of Flashmeeting process and asynch construction on wiki pages. I like the idea of RightToSpeakObject and motion features, and maybe we should start out with that framework, instead of Règles De Robert? For Videobridge, RightToSpeakObject is easy, as Flashmeeting only allows turn taking. But, I think we should figure out structured part where we follow an agenda that we co-create ahead of time on a wiki, followed by a free/open discussion, for instance. it would be fantastic if Arnaud Fontaine helped create a condorcet voting system.

I have never actually participated in the WikiTings that have been taking place on Community Wiki, althoughI understand the concept. I think this is an area where we can invite Mattis Manzel in to help organize and get that up and running for our group of people.

I am of course all for creating a Wiki Net. We could create the Wiki Net ON the the Bar Camp wiki, if you'd like? They are not difficult to set up. Or, we could create it on an Odd Wiki, which would probably actually be better, as we could eventually set up an Odd Wiki hive for the whole project, if people are interested in that -- Sam Rose
